Central Bottle is our excellent new neighbor at 196 Mass. Ave. They sell great wine. They often have cheese to sample and sometimes they have wine to sample. They have the best cheap food in Cambridge. My fierce father agrees with me.. Central Bottle has a source in Sicily for its own olive oil. Kevin Rafferty got some of this on Wednesday, which is food section day in newspapers all over America and Kevin turned the oil into into fine, fruity, slightly salty olive oil ice cream. This is not going to replace chocolate chip but it is wonderful with fruit and a strange joy by itself. After years of Catholic school I could not help thinking blasphemous thoughts. It is a miracle.

   I am on the search for olive oil ice cream or gelato. Do you have any olive oil ice cream in stock at your store right now? I would love to get my hands on some!
