Rowers from all over the world and tweedy college students from all over New England will congregate on either side of the Charles for a long series of races, near collissions and furtive drinking. Later this year there will be the much less known Foot of the Charles for first year rowers, or novices. The term “novices” suggests a religious calling and that might be accurate.
