Eater.com knows everything.

Posted on December 7th, 2011, by Gus Rancatore in Uncategorized

Eater.com is the best source for information about new restaurants, and that means it covers urban issues, design, politics and food. All done with wit.

Eater.com now has a Boston edition which you can find on their webpage by using one of those pulldown menus that so fascinate designers. And They cover Boston’s neighborhood.

http://boston.eater.com/archives/categories/cambridge.php

They report on two new cafes that will open in East Cambridge, a sushi bar in Kendall Sq called Fuji, and the transformation of The Enormous Room into Brick and Mortar. The stretch of Mass. Avenue between Harvard Square and Porter Square is getting another coffee shop when Bourbon opens in the Porter Exchange. Bourbon is a small chain that sells coffee from Rwanda. The Porter Exchange started life as a Sears and turned into a Little Tokyo before being bought by Lesley College. Chef Patricia Yeo of Om in Harvard Square will open Moksa in Central Square between Veggie Galaxy and Z Rants. Moksa will be a Japanese Izakaya, or small plates restaurant.

There’s a lot going on, economically and in terms of creative energies focused on food.
